Hundreds of brides-to-be have received their dream wedding dress for free from Bridal Reflections of New York City and Long Island. The gowns are awarded to military personnel or the fiancés of personnel on active duty or those that have recently served, as part of the Brides Across America program, the bridal industry’s way of giving a big thank you to our troops, as the challenge of planning a wedding is only increased when military deployment is involved.
Providing couture bridal fashion for 40 years, Bridal Reflections had donated gowns to military brides for years, so the Brides Across America program was a natural fit for them. The nationwide program was born in 2007 when a network of stores and suppliers donated time and resources to head up the program. Bridal Reflections has been featured on several major networks for their efforts. Most recently, The  profiled one of Bridal Reflections’ military brides wedding dresses and her touching story. It also gives a wonderful overview of what this charitable effort is all about. Recent events have also been covered by CBS and ABC news.
